Six agricultural enthusiasts from Nigeria were taken on a farm tour in Ghana by Count On Crops Hub, producers of the Ghanaian Farmer TV Show.
According to the host of the flagship TV and online program, Enyonam Manye the six men are regular viewers of the show that put the spotlight agribusiness in Ghana.
Being a specialized agricultural agency that is leading small holder farmers in redefining the future of agriculture in Ghana and Africa, the six tourists from Nigeria fell in love with the work Count On Crops Hub have been doing over the years. They decided to visit some of the commercial farms that were featured on their Youtube Channel, The Ghanaian Farmer .
The farms visited include poultry farms, rice farms and vegetable farms in the Western and Volta regions. They had the opportunity to interreact with the owners of these farms to learn more about the work they do.
Agritourism is a form of commercial enterprise that links agricultural production and/or processing with tourism to attract visitors onto a farm, ranch, or other agricultural business for the purposes of entertaining or educating the visitors while generating income for the farm, ranch, or business owner.
It also serves as potential platform for business partnerships.
Aside from the production of the agriculture-related documentaries, the hub also serves as a point of contact for agro-tourism purposes in Ghana and beyond.
The hub also serves as a training centre for aspiring farmers, agro-business owners, and tertiary students to receive free practical knowledge about the agricultural sector.
