The government has been announcing some bold decisions for the agricultural sector under the Feed Ghana Program and the latest among them is the procurement of 4400 different machines for 50 agricultural districts across the country. The Importers and Exporters Association of Ghana has called on foreign investors to establish rice mills in Ghana to boost the country’s rice value chain and reduce reliance on imports. Speaking at the 2025 World Rice Conference in Cambodia, the Association’s Executive Secretary, Samson Asaki Awingobit, said that Ghana has an abundant supply of paddy rice produced by local farmers that remains largely unprocessed due to limited milling capacity. COCOBOD has unveiled three new sub‑committees to enhance transparency, accountability and sustainability within the cocoa industry. The inauguration, held at COCOBOD headquarters in Accra on 21st October, was led by Board Chairman Dr.  Samuel Ofosu‑Ampofo and attended by board members, senior management and staff.
